We were in an excellent and perfect location relatively close to Peace Gardens. It was across the extra comfy area. They offered us tastefully decorated and a nice size rooms with private bathroom and balcony plus ceiling fan.

Stunning location for our visit to Yesteryear Village not too far away from the hotel. The staff was affable and the room was reasonably large and good looking.

rustic ambiance, excellent cleanliness, unique outdoor showers
Need more flexibility with the strict 8pm check-in policy!!! Availability of microwaves and coffee pots would enhance convenience, as well as improved privacy features in bathrooms for shared accommodations!!!

Enjoyed Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, the hotel was well-kept close to everything in town. I had twin/double room with windows overlooking garden and comfy bed. It was a nice size and easy to move around, private bathroom. The property's location was incredible, short walk to Pura Vida for two nights in october 2012 and downtown and beach. Again, I could reach Luluberlu Art Gallery not too far from the hotel.

Cleanliness stood out. You won't find a speck of dirt here. The outdoor showers are a cool touch.
The 8pm check-in deadline policy is strict, leading to unnecessary stress if travel plans change. Noise can be an issue due to nearby dogs and roosters, but it becomes charming over time. Lacked a microwave and coffee pot, with some rooms missing hammocks, which would've elevated the comfort level.

The location of Pura Vida is perfect, just a block from shops and restaurants. Loved the hotel's cleanliness and the peaceful atmosphere of the gardens. My room had a private bath and was airy and breezy. Housekeeping was daily, which exceeded my expectations. Breakfast in the mornings was good. They brought coffee to my room when requested. On the downside, the rooms lacked glass windows, which let in all the sounds from outside, like people chatting or dogs barking at night. The outdoor seating area can get busy, a bit tricky to relax at times. Would recommend a little more privacy for shared bathroom guests. Despite these quirks, I enjoyed my stay greatly, especially with the tranquility in the mornings and the friendliness of the staff.

We LOVED our room and the staff! Our second-floor room had a private bath and was airy enough that we never missed having air conditioning. Housekeeping came daily, a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was good, and the staff was attentive, even bringing coffee to our room on request. The location was ideal, just a short walk to shops and restaurants.
While it was a bit noisy at night with dogs and roosters, we found it charming over time.
